We are seeking dedicated and experienced Lecturers in Applied Sustainability Management to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sustainable management, proven teaching experience, and the ability to engage with a diverse student body using innovative teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver courses in Master Applied Sustainability Management. - Employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and promote active learning. - Engage with students in a multicultural classroom environment. - Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives. - Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and community outreach activities. 

Qualifications: - Ph.D. in Sustainability Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or Management Science with a focus on sustainability, or a closely related field. - Demonstrated experience in teaching at the university level. - Expertise in applied sustainability management practices and principles. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Commitment to innovative and engaging teaching practices.

Haarlem Campus is situated in the beautiful small city of Haarlem in the historical building de Koepel, with students from more than 40 countries plus international faculty and staff. We teach using didactic methods, practice-orientated and students are taught in small classes, with coaching, teamwork, and guidance from the lecturer. Intercultural skills are therefore essential.

Do you want to be involved in a growing international university with 40+ student nationalities?

We have an interesting vacancy for administrative talent for our back office with an affinity for education and enthusiasm for supporting the day-to-day processes (with a focus on management and exam board support of SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences). 

This part-time position (24-28 hours per week) involves working with international faculty and students. English is the working language.

Summary:

In cooperation with the front and back offices of SRH Haarlem Campus, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, including attendance as a notetaker at management and shareholder meetings. You will also be appointed as administrative secretary of the Exam Board.

Tasks:

As the assistant of the management team, reporting to the CEO, you will:

  • Assist the management team (Haarlem Board) with day-to-day administration, including attendance as a notetaker at management and shareholder meetings.
  • Run the day-to-day personnel administration in coordination with and under the supervision of the HR director.
  • Support the colleagues with other back-office related administrative tasks in the back office.

As the administrative secretary of the Exam Board, you will:

  • Ensure the preparation, reporting and settlement of decisions of the exam board, 
  • Be responsible for the annual planning and keep the examination committee's archives current. 
  • (Contribute to the) preparation of mandatory and or relevant reports from the examination committee, such as the annual report and the internal regulations of the examination committee;
  • In addition, the Examination Board administrative secretary is the link between the Board, exam office, academic dean, teachers and students. 
  • Function as the first point of contact for students and teachers of the examination board.

Requirements:

  • HBO level or MBO-4 Level with working experience or similar 
  • Proven proficiency in Dutch and English
  • Administrative skills, preferable within an educational organisation
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent intercultural skills
  • Digital skills and familiarity with various digital administrative systems
  • Stress resistance, a flexible work attitude, good communication skills and a sense of responsibility are key concepts
  • Maintain confidentiality of any data-sensitive information

What are we offering?

A challenging position in a young and innovative organisation. Depending on experience, the full-time salary is based on the Dutch Higher Education salary scale (full-time gross between 

€2,724.- and €3,632.—per month, depending on education and experience).

About SRH Haarlem

SRH has started a new higher education institute, in the Dome in Haarlem. SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences was set up by the German-based SRH Higher Education and the Dutch Global School of Entrepreneurship. SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences is an innovation hub where culture, education, and business find each other to work together, organise events, and collaborate on innovation and sustainable development. 

The first cohort of students in our bachelor programmes in Business Psychology, Creative Media (in business), and Digital Transformation Management have started their studies in Fall 2022. In February 2024, we have launched our first Master of Science programme in Applied Sustainable Management.

We are looking to expand our faculty team with experienced professionals interested to join us in developing high-quality, interactive, and personalised higher education programmes based on our Competence Oriented Research and Education (CORE) approach. The position is based initially on a freelance contract for individual teaching modules.
